DARE TO CHALLENGE YOURSELF WITH a friend in THE FIRST ANNUAL RUNNING THE RAPIDS HALF MARATHON relay.
REGISTER BY AUGUST 1ST TO BE GUARANTEED A TSHIRT!
The half marathon relay consists of TWO runners. The first runner will begin at the start line at Portage Park, while the second runner will hop on a bus and be transported to the exchange zone. The exchange zone will be at approximately the half way point of the half marathon. At the exchange zone the runners will tag off their partner. The second runner will complete the second half of the 13.1 distance while the first runner takes the bus to the finish line to cheer on other runners and enjoy the post race activities.
The half marathon course will follow the same course as the half marathon, which winds its way through a certified course, complete with scenic road and pathways in Cohasset and Grand Rapids. The loop will take you down a beautiful running trail around Horseshoe Lake, as well as by the entrance to our famous Forest History Center. See our full course map below!
Bring some running shoes and a positive attitude to this race, and we will make sure to cheer you all the way to the finish. We invite you to join us for our first annual half marathon; we look forward to seeing you there!
All half-marathon relay participants will receive an official dry-fit athletic shirt, medal, and other goodies to be determined. To be guaranteed a shirt and swag bag, you must be registered by Sunday, August 1st, 2020.
